This is an important dialogue on Indo-US Relations, specifically to understand current state of the relations, the important role that Indo-American community needs to play. There are great expectations from Indo-US Relations on the background of an instability in AfPak region, a growing global threat from Jihadi terrorism and international tensions in Indo-Pacific Region (including Southern China Sea).

Raja Krishnamoorthi is US Congressman representing the 8th District of Illinois, which includes the west and northwest suburbs of Chicago. Raja was born into Tamil speaking Hindu family in New Delhi, India. Raja studied BS from Princeton in Mechanical Engineering and then received a Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School. Raja’s policies focuses on growing and strengthening the middle class by supporting small businesses, rebuilding our infrastructure, and protecting Social Security and Medicare. He has close ties with India and Indo-American Community.

Ambassador Virendra Gupta is President of Delhi based Antar Rashtriya Sahayaog Parishad (ARSP – Council for International Collaboration, New Delhi). He was Deputy Director at the Institute for Defense Studies and Analyses(IDSA), New Delhi and  also worked as Director General ICCR. Virendra Gupta served as a career diplomat in Indian Foreign Service and has served abroad in Indian Missions in Nepal., Nigeria, Israel and Egypt, in various capacities. He has also served in Indian Mission to the United Nations. He also co- authored a book titled- “Pakistan Occupied Kashmir: The Untold Story” and “India’s Neighborhood Security Challenges”.
