FIIDS Annual Report 2019

2019 was a significant year for the Foundation for India and Indian Diaspora Studies (FIIDS). Among others, these were the initiatives which were of our primary focus:

- Survey to understand Indian Diaspora’s mindset around 2019 Lok Sabha Elections
- Survey on Performance of Narendra Modi Government from 2014 – 2019
- Survey on NRI Related policies and issues: Submitted to Ministry of External Affairs
Policy Study Reports:
- FIIDS Report on legal immigration: Submitted to US Senators and Congressmen
- FIIDS Responses to critical verdicts on Ayodhya Ram Temple and Citizenship Amendment Act: Submitted to DC based think tanks
- FIIDS Response to USCIRF on India’s Citizenship Amendment Act(CAA)

In 2019, we also formalized a Policy Analysis Group contributing on various policy issues. In 2020, FIIDS will formalize an Indo American political awareness group, an internship program, a monthly newsletter on policy matters, and publications of reports.
